From 1903 to 1953, the Baltimore Orioles were one of the leading powers of the International League, winning seven consecutive pennants beginning in 1919 under the guidance of Jack Dunn. Manager Oscar Rodriguez built a dynasty, as the Cubans won the FIL title every year from 1946 to 1950. The team was promoted to AAA status as the Havana Sugar Kings of the International League and adopted the slogan 'Un paso mas, y llegamos!' ('One more step, and we arrive!').
