Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between George Knudson and Al Geiberger played at Victoria Golf Club, in Canada and aired March 2, 1968. The Victoria Golf Club is located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and features six par threes. It is not a long course, but its unique bunkering and the prevailing winds off the Pacific Ocean make it a fine test for a golfer of any level. George Knudson was Canada's gift to the golfing world, and he represented them graciously. George was always considered on of the game's finest ball strikers and put together 12 PGA Tours to prove it. Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between Tom Weiskopf and Roberto DeVicenzo played at Fedala Golf Club, in Morocco and aired March 18, 1967. The Fedala Golf Club in Morocco is a 6,500 yard, par 71 design featuring all the characteristics of links golf. From the wind-shaped cypress trees lining the fairways to the pounding of the adjacent Atlantic surf, Fedala truly tests golfers of all levels. Tom Weiskopf brought his sweet swing onto the PGA Tour in 1965 and won 15 events over the next 17 years. He currently divides his time between golf architecture and playing on the Senior PGA Tour. Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between Doug Sanders and Chi Chi Rodriguez played at Dorado Beach Golf Club, in Puerto Rico and aired March 1, 1964 and pitted two of the game's most colorful players. The Dorado Beach Golf Club is a 7,000 yard, par 72 design susceptible to the Atlantic breezes that constantly pound the Puerto Rican coast. Architect Robert Trent Jones ensured excitement by setting up the course so the wind is felt from all four quarters during each round. Colorful is the only way to describe Doug Sanders. Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between George Archer, Lee Elder and George Knudson played at Sao Fernando Golf Club, in Brazil and aired January 31, 1970. The Sao Fernando Golf Club is a 6,5000 yard, par 70 design that was carved out of thick Brazilian rain-forest. Its tree lined fairways place an emphasis on driving. Anything off the fairway here can make for a long day. In a career that spanned 25 years, 'Big George' Archer won 12 PGA Tour events, including the 1969 Masters. He is currently one of the major forces on the Senior PGA Tour. Lee Elder joined the PGA Tour in 1967 and went on to win four PGA Tour events over the next 12 years. In 1975 he broke the color barrier by becoming the first black to compete in the Masters. George Knudson was Canada's gift to the golfing world, and he represented them graciously.

Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between Bruce Devlin and Tommy Jacobs played at Golf Club of Rome, in Italy and aired January 7, 1967. Set among the hills of Rome, the Golf Club of Rome offers a history lesson with each round. Flowing through ancient ruins, the 6,500 yard, par 72 design features strategically placed pine trees and meandering streams, making for a challenging test on any day. Bruce Devlin came to the United States from 'down under' in 1962 and stayed on to win eight PGA Tour events. He represented his native Australia in five World Cup competitions and designed more than 140 golf courses around the world. A holder of four PGA titles, Tommy Jacobs gained prominence at the 1964 US Open when he came in second to Ken Venturi. A member of the 1965 Ryder Cup Team, Jacobs was also runner up at the 1966 Masters.
