A bit past what is now Phantom Ranch, the boat is found in still water, but they've disappeared. In 1971 an elderly lady joins a commercial Grand Canyon rafting tour, and late in the trip mentions she is Bessie Hyde and that she killed Glen, hiked out, and started life anew.
