AIDS Walk 2002 - L to R: Jenny McMutrie (Senior Director of Travel Services), Toni Wilson (Vice President of HR and Diversity), Lee Marley (AAA Member) AAA's Jenny McMutrie, Vice President of Travel Product Management, along with the Corporate Diversity Office and Community & Safety Services invites you to participate in AIDS Walk San Francisco. Join us on Sunday, July 20 at Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. 2003 marks the 22nd year since the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in the United States. Despite advancements made in the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS, recent statistics reported by the Centers for Disease Control indicate that, last year, the overall rate of infection rose for the first time since 1993. The Bay Area continues to be at the center of the epidemic in the U.S., with nearly 18,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco alone. The disease has no boundaries around lifestsyle, ethnicity or age. It can impact all of us and therefore, your help is desperately needed. AIDS Walk San Francisco is our community's single most powerful response to the AIDS pandemic. This 10-kilometer walk-a-thon benefits the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) and other outstanding Bay Area service organizations. This year's goal is to raise $50,000. Help us reach this goal. To join the AAA Team go to the AIDS Walk web site at www.aidswalk.net or contact Patty_Dingle@csaa.com for more information. AAA and the Environment AAA's century-long history of balancing the needs of motorists with care for the environment For more than 100 years, the California State Automobile Association has steadfastly represented the interests of its Members and the traveling public. Because our 4.1 million Members in Northern California, Nevada and Utah represent a broad section of the population, the association works for balanced public policy positions on a variety of issues ranging from traffic safety and transportation to consumer protection and the environment. As you can imagine, representing more than four million people in three different states is a challenge.
