decreases will result in an increase in fat stores. As example some studies
have shown that supraphysiological thyroid hormone T-3 levels can increase

calorie restricted diets significantly decrease in results after 2-4 weeks.
The body down-regulates thyroid hormone production to save calories and
reduce calorie expenditure as heat. The result is less UCP-3 and slower

HORMONES ARE HYPERTROPHIC Thyroid hormones trigger the release of fat stores
so other cells can convert the long chain triglycerides (fat) into heat

of thyroid hormone activity is their ability to stimulate the testes. So
Thyroid hormones have been shown to acutely stimulate testosterone
production by the Leydig cells in vitro via stimulating the production of
steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (StAR) and StAR mRNA in Leydig cells;
StAR is associated with intracellular trafficking of cholesterol into the
mitochondria during steroid hormone synthesis. Bottom line Optimal thyroid
activity results in stimulation of testosterone production by males and
better hormonal modulation in females. T-X? contains two exciting naturally
occurring thyroid hormone analogs called Diprop and Triprop. What makes them
special Everyone has heard of the powerful thyroid hormone T-3. And of
course many have reported the benefits from the T-3 analog Triac. Triprop is
a naturally occurring thyroid analog of T-3 similar to Triac in some
positive regards. Well according to animal studies Triprop has a higher
affinity for the thyroid hormone receptor-beta 1 (TR beta 1) than does T-3
by 1.8-fold. This means that it does not take much to do a lot. Diprop is
similar to T-2 in that it has been attributed to have brown fat promoting
properties. When you are first born your body does not have much white fat
to help insulate and retain body heat; although there are white fat cells
there is not much fat stored in them. A newborn baby produces heat (
thermogenesis ) primarily by breaking down fat molecules into fatty acids in
brown fat cells. Instead of those fatty acids leaving the brown fat cell as
happens in white fat cells they get further broken down in the mitochondria
and their energy is released directly as heat. This same process occurs in
hibernating animals which have more brown fat than humans. Once the newborn
baby starts eating more developing layers of white fat the brown fat goes
away. Adult humans have little or no brown fat. More brown fat means way
less white fat a leaner body and better over-all body composition control.
Diprop has also been shown to increase cellular metabolic rate in a
synergistic manner with all other thyroid hormones and analogs. Yeah I know
it would seem like all would be perfect if we simply mega dosed on thyroid
hormone analogs and train. Unfortunately there is always a reaction to every
action and this is no different. Doing that would men thyroid gland
shut-down in a very short period of time. Why NATURAL THYROID HORMONE
PRODUCTION IN HUMANS (Warning: Science Geek Stuff) The thyroid is a part of
the endocrine system. The endocrine system monitors and
manufactures/synthesizes many hormones and hormone-like substances. For this
reason the endocrine system and its sub-systems have many built in "checks
and balances" to assure proper hormonal ratios and activity levels. 1)
Endogenous thyroid hormone production begins when neuro-input tells the
hypothalamus to synthesize and release Thyroptropin -Releasing -Hormone.
(TRH) 2) TRH stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release
Thyroid-Stimulating-Hormone (TSH) (also referred to as Thyrotropin on some
lab chem. Panels) 3) When TSH contacts its receptor-sites located throughout
the thyroid gland a series of enzymic reactions occur using tyrosine and
iodine as raw materials to produce and/or release L-Thyroxine (T-4). T-4 is
then released into the vascular system so it can circulate. 4) The active
T-4 circulating in the vascular system merges with receptors and triggers
metabolic ?some? activity but when it reaches the liver it is changed into
the more active thyroid hormone L-Triiodothyronine (T-3) by an enzyme called
5-deiodinase. T-3 is about 5 times more active than T-4. The newly formed
T-3 is released into the vascular system where it may contact and merge with
cellular receptors which initiates all the metabolic activity discussed
earlier. Simple so far THYROID FEED-BACK MECHANISMS and FEED-BACK LOOPS Of
course the thyroid does not simply mass produce thyroid hormones
continuously. Actually it tries pretty hard to produce as little as
possible. This is due to the "checks and balances" nature included in the
action/reaction factors for the endocrine system called
"feedback-mechanisms". In the case of thyroid function the
feedback-mechanism or loop involves the hypothalamus (secretes TRH)
pituitary gland (secretes TSH) thyroid gland (secretes T-4) and the liver
(converts T-4 into T-3). A feedback-mechanism or loop can trigger the
release of another hormone (positive feed-back) or inhibit its release
(negative feed-back) thus maintaining that balance. This means high levels
of T-4 or T-3 initiate a negative feed-back loop that tells the hypothalamus
to produce less TRH and low levels of T-4 or T-3 initiate a positive
feed-back loop that tells the hypothalamus to produce more TRH. So simply
supplementing with higher than normal levels of thyroid hormone analogs will
result in a negative feed-back loop that tells the pituitary to stop
producing TRH and the hypothalamus to get greedy with TSH?and natural
thyroid hormone production goes in the toilet with you metabolism. Hmmm
picture what happens when you stop taking the extra thyroid analogs. The
obvious effective goal therefore becomes to maximize total circulating
thyroid hormone levels both supplementally? and provide synergistic support
to natural thyroid hormone production by our bodies. One or the other simply

result of pituitary stimulation but of hypothalamic stimulation thus

improvingstress scores significantly. Okay but the really cool effect it has
is due to its cAMP stimulating value. There is a significant similarity
between compounds in this interesting herb and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
(TSH). As most are aware increased TSH means more fat burning anabolism
promoting T-3 production (yes it acts synergistically with the next goodie
in this regard?but through different pathways). The connection here is that
the TSH-like effect triggers an enzyme called adenylate cyclase in the
thyroid that results in an increase in cAMP activity and subsequently lots
of extra T-3 production?naturally. Since there is an increase in cAMP there
is an accompanying increase in nitrogen retention. There appears to be some
research that supports the belief that increased cAMP results in greater LH
release as well (you know that stuff that tells ?The Boy?s? to make more
testosterone Okay the LH part affects only the guys women don?t have
testes?or shouldn?t). Think about the HPTA stimulating synergy between Clary

Okay So I Was Wrong? There is always more than a few times in every
researcher?s career when admitting an error even when the error was based
upon valid research is necessary. Okay at least it should be necessary. So
here we go? There is a group of compounds called spirostanes. Technically
speaking they are by definition steroid derivatives containing a fused
lactone ring at the 16 17-position and a spiroglycosidic linkage at C-22.
The most common representatives in this group are the plant-derived
sapogenins (remember that word it would be important in a few minutes) that
include spirostenes spirostadienes and spirostatrienes. Big deal huh A few
years ago several such BS-hype products were sold as bodybuilding
supplements by way of some ?promise the world? magazine ads. The compounds
were usually referred to as ?sterols? because it sounds so much like
?steroids?. Of course for the most part they really were useless?at least
without the help of some serious structural alterations (that would result
in anabolic steroids on the controlled substance list and a visit from one
of the not so friendly Federal Agencies who keep it all in line). Truth is
that for years I made jest of the products and tossed them ?all? into the
same group?like most any other credible researcher. Even after some of the
Russian studies showed that there are ?specific? sapogenins on par with some
of the most effective muscle building compounds used by Russian athletes in
days gone by?I still clowned the idiocy and grouped them rather than

a ?nesting? moment. If we did want excess estrogen and prolactin we would be
eating soy-everything and watching day-time drama shows?instead of watching
UFC. We hate working our asses off to build lean mass only to have cortisol
production soar from all of training and life?s everyday stresses resulting
in muscle loss and fat deposits around the waist. We worked for the muscle
and we want to keep it. Estrogens Prolactin and Cortisol?Oh My! In today?s
?soy-everything/estrogen is good/testosterone is evil? world men have to
deal with countless phyto and xeno-estrogens in our foods and environment.
Naturally it only gets worse when we realize that these feminizing phyto and
xeno-estrogens are ADDED to our own natural estrogen production in our
bodies. Not bad enough Okay then some of us also add products that aromatize
to estrogens. Yeah still worse? Each of these feminizing factors cause a net
and additive negative affect upon our lean mass and other things male?and
they add up. The results are 3 fold: Additional fat that produces additional
aromatase enzyme resulting in even more of our manly testosterone being
converted into un-manly estrogens. As most are now aware aromatase enzyme
converts testosterone and other androgens into estrogens. The increase in
estrogens suppresses our male testosterone production system via inhibition
of the the HPTA. Excess estrogen production causes another feminizing
hormone to kick in? Prolactin is a single-chain protein hormone that has
serious feminizing actions (like lactation increased breast size HPTA
inhibition and suppression of GH production). There are a few reasons
prolactin levels increase but the one that is most common and preventable is
that when estrogen levels elevate?so do prolactin levels in males and
females alike. Many are already aware that the first key to optimized
testosterone production is getting rid of excess estrogen in males while
stimulating LH production and some are even aware that getting prolactin to
go away once it starts is not always simply a matter of getting rid of the
estrogen problems. But most are unaware of how all of this correlates and is
compounded by the hormone group that triggers serious lean tissue loss.
Glucocorticoids are a group of steroids that originate at the adrenal cortex
of the adrenal glands (above your kidneys). The most commonly discussed
hormone of this group is cortisol. When a cortisol molecule meets up with a
muscle cell it triggers the release of amino acids from the cell. That
probably does not sound like a big deal until you realize that these amino
acids come from the breaking down of the muscle cell proteins. This of
course means all of that hard earned lean mass tissue begins to waste away
and become energy or toilet trash. Cortisol levels are elevated as a result
of stress. Unfortunately the body views stress stimuli such as increases in
muscle tissue mass training sickness and the spouse in a bad mood as reason
to increase circulatory cortisol levels. Cortisol production can also
inhibit endogenous GH and testosterone production while fueling pathways
that allow additional aromatase enzyme producing fat to accumulate around
the waist and upper legs. So increases in cortisol production means less
muscle more fat and aromatization ?>estrogen->prolactin? and less
testosterone production to counter it with. Kind of sucks huh Time to

Though an increase in testosterone production alone is pretty cool and one
of the reported major benefits of Restore? it would be only part of the
Restore? optimized male matrix. Instead we have opted to see how many
arguments we can start (and knock-offs we can inspire) this time by raising
the bar for product expectations beyond what any one product can currently
offer performance oriented males?by doing the whole job. Its okay we are men
we like competition! Estrogen Control 6-Bromodione: There are two types of
estrogen aromatase inhibitors and application of only one leaves the other
pathway open for feminizing potential. 6 alpha-Bromodione is a competitive
inhibitor of aromatase enzymes. Basically this means it works by way of
binding to the active binding site of the aromatase enzyme resulting in
prevention of interaction with other steroids that aromatize like
testosterone and the rest of our favorite male androgens. This is great for
rapid binding and short term aromatase control but unfortunately a
competitive inhibitor will eventually let go of the enzyme and allow it to
do feminizing things to manly hormones. So only half of the job is done but
it has its important role as well. 6 beta-Bromodione is a mechanism-based
irreversible inhibitor of the aromatase enzyme. An irreversible aromatase
inhibitor is also referred to as a suicide inhibitor. It?s pretty cool in
that it acts similar to a competitive inhibitor in the way it binds but like
a pissed-off ex-girlfriend it is both highly selective and it will not let
go until death do they part. Together the two analogs in 6-Bromodione make
sure that estrogen is under control and many would assume that less estrogen
means the prolactin would be under control as well. Often once prolactin
increases are stimulated shutting it back down takes some extra effort and a
protracted period of time. How long are you willing to wait to be an
optimized male Prolactin Inhibition Many have heard of or used drugs like
bromocriptine that inhibit prolactin production for medical needs. Of course
one of the benefits is an often reported increase in libido and ?related
factors? but the side-effects such as nausea and dry mouth can certainly
negate the positive. Prolact-X? (Chasteberry Diterpine Matrix Extract) There
has been a long history of supplemental use of Chasteberry for treatment of
PMS in women. Most researches believe that PMS is commonly the result of
high prolactin levels so no surprise that we took an interest in this herb.
The amino acid dopamine is the body?s natural controller of prolactin
release. Of course many dopaminergic compounds have been noted as effective
treatments for increasing GH secretion as well which correlates rather well
with optimization in male performance due to the fact that elevated
prolactin results in decreased GH and IGF-1 production. The search for the

the prolactin-suppressive effects. They were almost more effective in their
prolactin-suppressive properties than dopamine itself. Naturally just
crushing up a bunch of Chasteberry is not likely to do the job but proper
preparation of the de-feminizing herb has finally given us an effective
synergist to support male optimization. So cool now that we have dealt with
the HPTA suppression and feminizing issues. By doing so the obvious result
is a notable and welcomed increase in testosterone production. But hey why
not push all the way and reach for optimization Increased Free Testosterone

supplements for either lean mass gains libido augmentation or both have
heard of Avena Sativa. Yeah I know lots of products already have some form
