DDR Dance Dance Revolution Konamix (For PS 1 and 2)br>Price: 31.99 Retail Price: 31.99 GaDDRKON IGg Factory Inc. Product Desciptions: In essence, Dance Dance Revolution Konamix (which is not the cover shown here, but anyway...) is the same as its predecessors, with small adjustments. First of all, the difficult adventure-like structure of much older DDRs (3rd mix, I believe) that required one to 'battle' through each song in order to get to the next has been done away with, in favor of more of a free-floating game system, one in which the player has the choice to play whatever he or she feels like playing. Although Dance Dance Revolution Konamix is still a DDR, the excellent gameplay and fun factor we've all come to know and love from the series has returned. Along with that comes a 52-song selection (many of which are locked and require unlocking to play), which greatly overshadows the 20-something selection that the original Dance Dance Revolution contained. (If you haven't decided on either one yet, go for Konamix, not the original.) The songs that appear in Dance Dance Revolution Konamix are versatile, covering each genre (techno, jazz, even reggae) with decent style, although I do wish that they had some songs that I recognized (the only Dance Dance Revolution titles that came close to that had a remix of Duran Duran's 'Ordinary World'(c) and the theme to the classic TV series 'Starsky and Hutch'(c).
